For the most part, all what the first reviewer has said it true, however I would not rate it as high. I'm sure it is rated that high because it is the only "Leather Bar" in Palm Springs and therefore "not much choice" in places to go. The drinks are strong and worth every penny, cheepest prices in town to boot (nice combination). There are a few good bartenders, the one to avoid is on Tuesdays. The bright lighted restrooms will blow you away however, bring your "sun glasses". As far as the weekends it can get pretty crowded, however, the DJ sucks big time. He brings constant complaints from the locals and visitors which fall on "deaf ears". Bartenders say there is nothing they can do! Tell the owner and fire his ass! He plays "house and latin music" so load that you have to screem to have a converstation. Not quite the leather bar music we are accustomed to accross the America's to say the least. Overall, the Tool Shed is not a bad place to spend a few hours in the company of some guys... Small and kind of off-the-beaten-path, Tool Shed has some decent parking and is just a few doors down from one of the Palm Springs area's leather shops... There is a smoking patio - with a very idustrial feel of chainlink and corrugated metal - and a decent sized bar area... but there's not much place to sit, with a pool table taking up the majority of the floor space in one half of the bar... The crowd - like many of PS's bars - and truly, most bars in resort towns - the crowd is varied and variable... Many leather guys, but a few not so leather... some old, some young, some hot, some not... It's very much like another person said - take it or leave it... but there's never any attitude and the crowd is usually out to have a good time... A good time can be had by nearly all who go...!‎
