A friend was driving around in a jeep cherokee on a bald tire with cord showing, she had no money whatsoever to get new tires... I took the wheel off and brought it to Tire City and 20 minutes and less then $20 later, I had a used tire the same size with about 3/4 tread left, it kept her safe for many more months. I think its great that instead of going to a landfill a perfectly good tire gets a second life, and its great to be able to get a decent tire installed so cheap.
