The most honest repair shop I've been to in SA. Not the cheapest, but most dependable, fair, respectful, and top-notch quality.

Tieken Auto is the most UNTRUSTWORTHY auto mechanic shop I have ever been to. I had to take my car several times back for repairs, three times to be exact, within one month. Mr. David Barrera, the owner of Tieken Auto Service and Parts, ensured me that I would not be paying for labor, since I had already paid in full, for service and parts the first initial time I took my vehicle in for repairs. Furthermore, per Tieken’s policy, labor and parts are under warranty for one year. The only thing I would have to do is pay for the parts. Well I kept paying for part after part. To later find out that the Owner, was purchasing used car parts from the junk yards and charging me for new parts, and adding an additional 15% charge on the new part price. It was a coincidence, that I was at the junk yard purchasing a part for my husband’s truck and I happened to over hear the sale’s representative on the phone, providing information to a customer for the same part, make model and year, needed to repair my vehicle that was at Tieken’s repair shop. So I asked the sale’s representative was that call from Tieken Auto, and sale’s representative replied yes, how did you know? I informed her that my vehicle needed the same identical part and it was currently in the shop of Tieken’s. She said they keep buying parts from us for that vehicle. I was in total disbelief, I could not believe this. She said when someone from Tieken Auto would call they would say it was for there own personal car. Not realizing, the junk yard has caller ID on there phone and they could identify where the call was being made from. I immediately called my husband so we could go pick up our vehicle from Tieken’s after everything I heard that day. When I toke my car in for repairs the third time to Tieken Auto, it was clean and with a full tank of gas. When I picked it up, after finding out how Mr.Barrera manages his business, I found my car dirty with papers all over the car and it had a half tank of gas. Mr. David Barrera, the owner of Tieken auto is a clean cut gentleman that appears to be an honest man, but he is very dishonest. I advise no one to ever take there vehicle to this auto shop for no reason whatsoever.
