I have recently pulled my children out of the Village School for the following reasons:Poor supervision - My daughter was bit 14 times in less than 9 months. She got a bump, scrape or scratch every single day. She never went a week without getting hurt at the school.Poor cleanliness - The boys bathroom is disgusting. There is a trough style urinal with no running water. The boys urinate into the trough while the urine slowly and not always drains down the drain. I would pick my son up repeatedly to find urine and feces on the toilets and floor.Abuse - I witnessed a teacher berating and pulling at a little girls pants because she had peed her pants. This was in the 2 year old class. She did it front of another parent and myself. She screamed "Why did you pee your pants again!!!?" "Your mother is about to get here!!!" I reported her to the director and nothing happened. I came in the next day and she was there teaching her class as if nothing happened. I spoke with other parents who had witnessed similar incidents with this woman and they said they never bothered to tell the director because they knew she would do absolutely nothing.Unprofessionalism - My son is 3 yrs old. His teacher and I have told him repeatedly, if anything happens, tell your teacher. Well, I guess his teacher got tired of him and said to the parent of his best friend that "he was a little tattle tale". I was shocked and so betrayed as I thought she was one of the few teachers that actually cared. My husband and I had repeated meetings and phone calls with the director of this facility and absolutely nothing was done. She asked ME if I wanted to have one of the children that was biting my daughter expelled. Shouldn't that be her decision? As a parent I felt sympathy for the child's parent and declined. She had no answers for me and had no idea why my daughter was being bit so often.Warning - This is a tight knit group and they will protect each other, wrong or not.
