Lots of Taps At The Tap Room
The Tap Room is a great PB bar with tons of taps and variety's of beers to choose from. All kinds of microbrews.
They have a great special on Monday, for $5.99 you get a great burger & fries. They also have great happy hours and beer samplers. They have a ton of tv's if you would rather watch that then the interesting people in the bar and on Garnet. This is a fun place for friends, happy hours and just hanging out.

strong beer, this is your place. If you like to try new beers, this is definitely your place. Lots of San Diego microbrews. Lots of TV's. Very clean and friendly atmosphere. Pizza by the slice. Sandwiches and salads. Beers are $5 but worth it. Food is a bit pricey but expected.

Great beers & pizza
The Tap Room is one of those great micro-breweries San Diego has to offer, located in PB, it has a relaxed feel to it with many different types of beer. The food was pretty good too, we couldn't decide between pizza and chicken wings, so we go the Buffalo BBQ Chicken pizza....so good and perfect with the beer.

Unless you get one of the few booths, you will be seating in one of their high tables. These tables are all squeezed in together with little to no elbow room. And depending on your mood this can be a good or a bad thing,

Bad thing, you will feel claustrophobic with no personal space. Good thing you are so close to other tables you can actually meet and talk to people in the tables next to you without leaning over too much or shouting.

The prices are very reasonable and the only inconvenience is the street parking on Garnet Street.

Great Beer Selection
For all those who have not been paying attention (yeah I am talking to all you Budweiser drinkers), San Diego is nationally recognized as the #1 upcoming county in the US for Craft breweries, with its breweries bringing home the most Medals in North American at the 2010 World Beer Cup (22 Medals). Beer Magazine even mentioned San Diego as the new Napa of Beer's, with 35 independently owned Craft Breweries; including : Stone, Lost Abbey, Alpine, Ballast Point, Ale Smith, GreenFlash, etc. San Diego Breweries are leading the charge in changing the industry. They are using new brewing techniques, such as using wine Oak/Sherry barrels to age beer, to adding new ingredients to the mix such as Chocolate/Chilpotle/Fruit's/Coffee, to better hops/barley, etc, all in the game to give more definition and flavor to beer. Why have I mentioned this, SIMPLE, we live in the Meca of Beer's people!!!! The Tap room carries several local Craft Brew's, and in addition they carry several Craft brew's from around the country, with over 50 beer's on Tap ever day. Before you head out you can check their website for specials, or more importantly, A LIVE BEER UPDATER! It tells you whats on tap... how much is left and whats on deck!

In addition to beer, their bar sports several TV's and a great selection of bar food. Their lunch special is by far the best in PB. For their lunch special your given the the choice of "Choose One" and the options include: 2 slices of pizza, chicken wings, calamari, several salad's, etc. Then you decide on your beverage. If you want a soda its a total of 5 dollars for the Food+ Soda. For a beer (and I am talking about a good craft beer) its a total of 7 dollars. In conclusion, if you like piss water beer, such as Budweiser/Miller, then this is not your place. But if your looking for a fine, robust, flavorful beer that you will actually enjoy instead straight shotgunning it to get drunk, then look no further in Pacific Beach.

Turn down the lights
Great selection of beers for mediocre prices in a place lit up like a hospital cafeteria. The Tap room is set up to jam as many people as possible in a space that inevitably feels cold and detached despite the lack of space. The bar juts in and out and cuts the bar into pieces and harms the general bar bonhomie almost as much as the 200 MW Klieg lights that they insist on shining at all bar hours on their hapless patrons.

That said, any place with Stone is fine by me and Tap Room usually has 4 -6 varieties as well as a fair collection of other local brews. It's a dece place to stop in at during the day,
