Pretty good for a novelty.
This is the only fondue restaurant I have been to before and I have to say it was a great experience. The cheese fondue we had was great. I wouldn't think that sliced apples and cheese would go together but somehow they do. The main course was also delicious. Lobster, pork, chicken, shrimp, and fillet mignon. Great portions and fun to boil. As for our waiter, he was very knowledgeable, patient and friendly. They give each table a personal overview before each course, so be patient with them. Now for the best part. Dessert. Everyone will love this part. Dipping the various fruits and snacks into melted chocolate is the greatest dessert and the funnest course as well.

Horribly slow. Waitress disappeared for 45 minutes at a time
This was our second visit. First time was great, but just the two of us. This time we had a group of seven. We arrived at 6:30 and only got out of there at 10:00 because we complained enough. Waitress would disappear leaving us wondering when the next course would arrive. We spent about an hour between our appetizer, the main course, and the dessert. Cheese had a nasty after taste, but the only response we got was "huh". They said that 3 to 4 hours isn't unusual for a group our size because we have to cook the food and eat. That would be fine if we had any food in front of us to cook. I mean how long does it take to arrange raw meat on a plate and bring it out???? I'm not going back again. I had to wonder if the waitress didn't care to make an effort since gratuity was automatic for a group our size.

Good place to go when you're not in a hurry
If you really want to spend time with the person(s) you are with, this is the place. You could be there a couple of hours if you do all of the courses. The food is very good. The ying yang drink is quite a conversation piece and yummy, too! I've been twice. The 2nd time our waiter seemed inexperienced and lacking personality. He was pleasant, but definitely didn't add to the experience (it was a 12 year old birthday party). It helps if you get a waiter with a bit more enthusiasm.

Great date spot
Their "Big Night Out" special for two is pefect for a date. A four course meal with cheese fondue, salad, 1/2 pound of meat and dessert. The ambiance is great and the food is fantastic. With that being said, I do prefer the Westheimer location. I like the layout better and the waitstaff is a little older and more mature. Our waiter although professional, must have barely been 18. Normally I don't mind, but at a nicer restaurant for a special occasion, I prefer the waitstaff be a bit older...and I'm 25!

My Favorite Restaurant
This is my favorite place to go to celebrate milestones in my life. The staff is genuinley interested in making sure that my parties always have a perfect evening. They offer special packages like balloon or flower bouquets for special occasions and they also place cards for birthdays or anniversarys on the table. The fiesta cheese is always great, the salads are fresh, and the 4 different cooking styles are all wonderful. After you choose your entree you choose your style, either oil or vegetable broth. There are 3 different flavors for the broth, so depending on how you want to flavor your protiens dictates the style you choose. The Mojo broth has so much flavor with the seasonings, fresh garlic, fresh cilantro and freshly squeezed citrus. The Coq Au Vin is good too, lots of red wine and more fresh garlic (by the way, the added wine does not take 30 minutes to re-heat, it's ready to go as soon as or right after the server leaves the table!) The chocolate is the best part, don't ever skip it! There are endless options and if you've been here before I want you to know the Banana's Foster chocolate is back and better than ever. They also have a fabulous, hidden patio behind the restaurant that's covered. Fondue is not fast food, though. A typical dinner is going to take a couple of hours, more for larger parties. But they are not going to run you out. They offer a great environment and they seem to truly want you to enjoy your time there, but mostly enjoy the company of your loved ones.
