I booked an appointment to The Massage Spot on the recomendation of a friend of mine. She told me about how at The Massage Spot, you could have a full spa experience at a fraction of the price. This sounded too good to be true, so I had to check it out! When I went in for my appointment, the staff was very friendly and accomodating, and the massage/facial were just as of quality if not better than a luxury resort... but without the daunting pricetag. The atmosphere was peaceful and luxurious, everyone was friendly, and the actual services massage and facial were OUTSTANDING. I will definitely be back to The Massage Spot soon!!

My boyfriend and I went for a couple's massage and the massages were great. However... when I called to book the appointment I booked two swedish massages. When I showed up with a 15% coupon (which I printed from the citysearch website), the girl acted completely confused like she didn't know what to do with it. After walking out relaxed, I paid the bill and left. It wasn't until later that I realized they charged me for one swedish/deep tissue combo massage, (which was $7 more) and one swedish. That's one way to counteract a discount- charge them for something more expensive and hope they don't notice! If you go to this place, they do a wonderful job on the massage part, but a terrible job in the customer service department-- just be sure to check your receipt before you leave. (It's still a good massage for the price, but I will not return to a place that does a bait and switch).

My boyfriend and I stopped in for deep tissue massages in the couples room. We had Christine and Joanna as our masseurs. It was an amazing and relaxing experience. If you are looking for a fantastic massage, but don't need the additional frills of a full-service day spa (i.e. with locker rooms, steam rooms, etc) then the Massage Spot is where you should go! We will definitely be back again.

I had a swedish massage by Christina and it was so relaxing I fell asleep. I was impressed a full hour massage is only $49 dollars. I will go back and try a facial which I noticed they use Ole Henriksen products. If you are looking for a relaxing massage that won't break your piggy bank I highly recommend the Massage Spot.

The Massage Spot is a great new "mini spa" in my neighborhood. I have had many massages at their first location in Hermosa Beach where their young and friendly practioners have repeatedly impressed me. I have always asked for a massage " somewhere between swedish and deep tissue"... relaxing enough to get the stress out but strong enough to release those knots. I am happy to report that the new location in Manhattan Beach is just as enjoyable as my experiences in Hermosa. I have never had to wait, I have always had a full hour massage (which is hard to find. most "hour" massages are closer to 45 minutes!!) and I have always been so impressed with the staff.
