My daughter has been going to The Learning Garden for three
My daughter has been going to The Learning Garden for three months now, and I'm very delighted at her progress. This is not really a surprise because my son also went to TLG and now he's in 2nd grade and at the top of his class. We owe all of this to Ms. Zora and her staff, who are excellent with the children and my family and I recommend TLG to all local young parents

Convenient, a possible good curriculum, caring teachers, and
Convenient, a possible good curriculum, caring teachers, and affordable. Those were the reasons for taking my child here not too long ago. Once being a preschool teacher myself, it seemed like great place at first glance. This school is totally off base with child development. They are more focused on academic achievement (and my money!) than the children's whole well being. Walking in unexpected, I found the teachers scolding and shaming the children into doing work, and even scolded my child for holding her beloved craft project. She wanted to keep it with her and she told me later the teacher grabbed it out of her hands! Teachers are supposed to teach and model NOT to grab. When doing their work, they looked bored, uninterested, and sometimes scared. They did not want to learn. How could they? Young children need to learn through play, and for those who had a hard time focusing their energy on the worksheets were forced to sit down on the bench during recess. Three and four year olds need to move to grow strong!

I am not great at confronting but I tried to open a little dialogue without them knowing of my own past experience. Unfortunately, whenever I tried to talk about this the teachers and director just brushed me off saying "this is good for them." I don't believe they really know how to teach young children. I'm sure many of them do not have a degree in it. I would look elsewhere if you want a more positive experience for you child's relationship with you, their teachers, their peers, and life and learning in general.

Such a find! by Sharon V. at InsiderPages
My daughter attended the school in Harbor City. But the staff is the same for both locations. This is a great school and helps children to learn everyday. My three year old was able to write her name within a few days of attending this school. She was able to read in kinder. This business is owned by a warm and caring family. They hire warm and caring staff as well.

My daughter has been going to LGP for about 8 months now, and I
My daughter has been going to LGP for about 8 months now, and I have to say, she's very happy there. Not one time has she cried for me when I left after checking her in. Of course, I don't know if it's her personality, or the fact that she likes her caregivers very much. I like to think it's a combination of both. Of course, like any new parent, I get frustrated that I have to work and leave my child in the care of someone else, but Ms. Zora has been able to address my frustrations and make me feel confident that my child is in good hands. I get phone calls whenever something out of character for my daughter is happening, so I'm kept continually updated. And, I like the fact that I'm the one dictating her schedule. The staff are very good and keeping her to that schedule, unless of course my daughter decides to switch things up. All in all, I think I can recommend The Learning Garden to prospective parents.

My name is Debbie and I have two children that have attended
My name is Debbie and I have two children that have attended Ms. Zora's school. My son is 10yrs old and my daughter is 5yrs old. Both children attended from early infant and completed Pre-K there. I love Ms. Zora snd Ms. Rose. They are like family to our children. I have recomended the school to many friends and will continue to do. My daughter especially showed tremendous growth under the guidance of Ms. Rose and Ms. Jen. Thank you Ms. Zora for preparing Nick for grade school and thank you Ms. Rose for caring for Layla as if she were you own. Sincerely, Debbie Prieto
