I have used this Kennel a handful of times. My husband and I must travel quite a bit for our jobs and family. I have a Husky who can be quite tempermental and a pit-bull lab mix who is very shy. Both dogs are rescues and are somewhat intimidating. My Lab-pit was found a few years ago and displayes extreme terror outside the home and around strangers. Most likely she was abused before we found her. The last time I dropped her off at the Fritz she displayed her normal terrified behavior until she saw where she was. She actually jumped out of the car and ran straight up to the door. When I opened the door, the employees greeted them by name and took my pit-lab back with no problems. I know that they are in good hands judging by how my dog responds to them.

This Kennel is truly their home away from home.

My experience with the Fritz has always been good. While the kennel is not a new kennel, it is a small family owned business which supports several of the Houston rescue groups by offering a discounted rate for boarding. I was surprised to read the bad review as when I had a problem I spoke directly with the owner who is also the groomer and she took care of my concern immediately. I have picked up on Sundays and many times see a local rescue group on property hosting an adoption day, to me, this means the kennel is more about making money, it's about helping the "dog" community. I'm all for that. While I wish they offered suites, I'm quite happy with the extra attention my dogs get due to the kennel being small. I have been using this kennel since it was TLC before it was ever the Fritz Carlton.

1st time ever to use a kennel. Heard horror stories about dog kennels but had to do it. Worst experience ever. This is not a caring place. BEWARE. Owner says they are on site. They might as well remove that from their web page. Staff hostile and unprofessional. Owner unresponsive. Our dog ended up with mystery raw spots on muzzle both side and discovered abrasion after got our dog home. What in the hell went on at that place! I can only imagine. Its your dog and your paying money. Don't risk this establishment.

We left our four large dogs for two weeks at the Fritz. They came back to us healthy and happy. I was really surprised that the staff knew each one of our monsters personally when I picked them up.

I looked at half a dozen other kennels before choosing them. I'll be leaving the dogs there from now on.

I love the Fritz Carlton and their caring staff! I feel like everyone there tries to make a personal connection with my dogs.
