Great for any UCSD econ majors
The Econ Tutor saved me during my economics classes at UCSD. He was able to explain things in a way that was a lot easier to understand than my professors. His review sessions were very helpful, and were a great tool in preparing for exams. A lot of people think that going to him is considered cheap or even cheating, but isn't what he's doing the same as any SAT class that everyone has taken? It's not like he's giving us answers to tests, he's just helping us learn the material.

One thing though, just be prepared for the class to go start late and end late. It always happens. But it's just a small price to pay.

I had a friend go to the econ tutor. He said it was helpful in getting him the a. There is no one on one interaction though and you just sit in a classroom while the tutor goes over questions from old tests.
The econ teachers don't like him and like to tell classes about how he dropped out of grad school because he couldn't stand it and decided to open up the business instead.

If you have not gone to an econ class or are struggling, the Econ tutor can definitely help you. He usually has review sessions and homework sessions. He thoroughly goes through the problems, teaching you on the way, although he sometimes goes to slow for my taste. The Econ tutor really know his stuff. He provides you with homework answers and old tests so you can get more practice in. I know people who only take classes because he is tutoring it.
