Great Fresh Crab Love it !!

This place SUCKS. I was so terribly disappointed. We went to the one in Tustin off 17th, the first time for all of us (there were 11 in our party). For many years, we've been curious about this restaurant and decided to give it a go last night for my sister's and girlfriend's joint birthdays. BAD CHOICE. Paper plates? Paper cups? What the...? The food was ok, but not for the price we paid (around $350 for 11 of us - yes, that's in US dollars!!!!). Horrible. Afterwards we were all still so hungry (beware - portions are small for the price), so we decided to head to Foster's Freeze to grab some milkshakes to help wash down the bitter taste of disappointment. Next time, we are going to a steakhouse instead.

I hadn't been to the Crabcooker in years, and I now know why. IT WAS AWFUL. I had the shrimp and sallop kabobs. The shrimp tasted that bleach. I KID YOU NOT. When I got home I had to vomit. No kidding! I haven't been to a good Newport Beach Fish Restaurant since Hanks Seafood Restaurant across from the Newport Beach Pier burnt down years ago. I will never go back again. Save your money and go to a steakhouse instead!

I used to love this place (years ago), tonight we got 3 meals to go, luke warm SOGGY Mahi Mahi , less than ONE cup of rice pilaf for a side, and a sliced raw tomato for the other side (not even salted). The crab cakes were not even as good as Albertsons deli (that you heat up at home) This place charged like a top notch restaurant yet sold my friends and i absolute GARBAGE and tiny portions at that! I will never waste my money at this place again they should be ashamed of themselves.

First time time to Crab Cooker.The fish was excellent. The expensive prices for such small portions on paper plates and plastic cups was outrageous. My boyfriends king crab was great, but when i asked him how were the potatoes, he was shocked he thought it was a biskit. After trying them he was dissapointed with them. I had the chowder, it wasnt anything specail. This place saddens me i was looking foward to a good experience. the server wasnt pleasant. And thier not green friendly.
Go to long john silvers. save your money.
