I have been a customer of The Texas Guitar Company since the year they opened. In that time I've taken my guitars in for setups and repairs many times; as well as taken lessons from multiple instructors for guitar, bass and drums.

They've always had great customer service and very reasonable prices on everything. And if you're looking at guitars they'll let you play any guitar, amp or pedal in the store. It's a small shop so you won't find everything in the world. But they have a decent selection ranging from starter guitars like Squiers, up to American made Fenders and other brands. They also carry Roland Cubes (I love my Micro Cube) among other amps and they have a great selection of Boss effects pedals.

The teachers are all very patient, friendly, and extremely knowledgeable about their instruments. And the in house repair tech is the only person I trust to make adjustments on my guitars. He does excellent work on everything from restring a guitar to refretting one.

I don't have to drive all the way out to Houston for lessons, repairs or a pack of strings when I have The Texas Guitar Company right here in the Katy area. Plus they're so much nicer to deal with than Guitar Center or some other small guitar shops whose names I won't mention.

In short, I'd highly recommend The Texas Guitar Company to anyone looking for a guitar store in the Houston area. They're definitely my favorite local guitar shop.
