I love this place! When I first moved to Hillcrest, I went here at least once a week.They have amazing lunch specials starting at around $6 and it is a very large portion of food.

There dinner is also good- I always try something different to expand my thai palate. You can never go wrong with curry or pad thai noodles, and here is no exception.

They also share parking with the deli next door, which means you can get your parking validated for free (which is great since parking in Hillcrest can be a challenge some times).

I love eating Thai food and have eaten at a number of Thai establishments in San Diego. I think Taste of Thai is by far one of the better tasting Thai restaurants.

In terms of customer service, I think most people would agree that the Thai people are a very friendly lot and I haven't been to a Thai restaurant where the service hasn't been anything less than great. The staff at Taste of Thai are very service-oriented. The dining room is nicely laid out with your typical Thai-theme decor.

But the food here is consistently good; I've had half of the things on the menu and everything is fantastic from your typical tom yum, pad thai, and green curry to their delicous desserts. So if you are in Hillcrest or the other Taste of Thai location off Del Mar, by all means, give them a try.

this place has a very nice environment. their decorations were beautiful. i couldnt stop looking at them. their food was extremely good. their noodles were not dry, they were perfect. their service was very good. i would definitely go here again if was in the neighborhood.

My husband and I absolutely love Taste of Thai. They have a dish called Spicy Noodles with Chicken that will knock your socks off! The location is a little inconvenient with little or no parking... but its worth the walk!
