Target is fantastic if you don't already shop at a Target store. I shop at the Mission Valley and Grossmont location and they are renovated and look much more stylish than its Walmart competitor.

Price point for most items is probably a bit more expensive than Walmart but they have nicer looking merchandise overall. The Target at Mission Valley is not looking very nice at the moment because they are currently remodeling their store to include a grocery section which I think will be handy. I just don't know how what they will stop selling in order to make room for produce. Apparently the Mission Valley Target will be done with their remodel by mid October. So check it out.

There isn't anything you can't find here for a cheap price. They are supportive of the community, and 5% of your bill goes back to your community. The stores are always kept clean and easily accessible to everything, it's never hard to find an item. Checkouts are usually quick and efficient. The store is always bright with lights, so you can see everything clearly, and the products always pop out. Target has a brand of it's own called Up and Up which is as good as the "real" thing. Snacks are really cheap here, there's a clothing department, garden department, toys galore, everything you would need and want would be here for cheap.

Pros

The Target culture encourages networking and has a strong emphasis on the right team members in the right jobs at the right time. In meeting with folks all over the company I've seen this in action. Lots of movement, lots of career growth opportunities. Teams are supportive, communication is constantly growing.
The air circulation in the building is really great. Doesn't have that stuffy feeling or smell I've experienced in other office buildings.
Cons

It's a huge corporation, some changes are difficult to set in motion. It takes more time to get things done (ie- contacting IT for assistance with software, etc). Individual positions are much more specialized/narrower set of responsibilities than in smaller companies.

Target stores have everything. If you are not shopping Target you may be wasting time and money.
Target offers cool clothes by designer Mossimo for adults as well as children. They have so many sale items with incredible savings. I can't walk by the girls section without snagging an adorable bathing suit or pair of jeans. The beauty department is stocked with great deals on brands like Boots (No. 7) and Alba for sunsceens or lotions.
I can spend hours in Target and find something for everyone in the family.
They also offer special $5 gift cards when you purchase two select items.
The place is always full of helpful employees and if no one is around you can even scan an itemyourself to find the price. Easy.
I adore the garden center. It's a great place to find affordable outdoor furniture.
