Amazing food and atmosphere
I went last week with my girlfriends that had read about it on Zagat and was pretty much blown away. I'm from London and grew up on Indian food, but this was unlike anything I've had. Our waiter (a quite fit one with fierce blue eyes and smile to melt, lol) told us that it was different from many Indian restaurants but still I was not prepared. He recommended an ahi and avocado appetizer that turned out to be the highlight of the night. We all shared and had lamb chops, Chicken curry and something else like a chicken masala. I don't remember the name of it now. There were a lot wines available and teh waiter made recommendations for all our food that were perfect. I won't be back in LA till december but when I do I'll definitley be going back. can't wait.

Unmatched Excellence: New Delhi Meets New York -- All In LA
Tanzore has MASTERED the art and science of fine Indian cuisine. It starts the minute you step in. The sights, sounds, and smells delight your senses. The lounge area featured massive video projectors (which on our night showcased Indian couture), and plush, comfortable sectional chairs. A joy to meet and greet here. As a fan of the fine spirits, the bar was also wonderfully stocked. I can't recall an instance when an Indian-based restaurant offered Chimay. After a couple of pre-dinner cocktails (and the best damn Calamari), we strolled into the dining area. I was, of course, unabashedly coveting the floor-to-ceiling, all-glass wine cellar during my little stroll. And it only got better from there. The dining area was infused with vibrant colors, impressive wood work, and a subtle, but ever so sublime, water feature. Finally, the food was, simply put, unmatched in its culinary excellence. It's what fusion was meant to be. The traditional flavors of ancieint and rich India bursting through 21st century, modern dishes. My dinner was the Masala lamb chops -- which were cooked "old school style" in a Tandoor (clay oven) -- and they were, no holds barred, [expletive] damn succulent and flavorful. And yes, if you're wondering, the wine list actually matched the beauty of the cellar. Dessert was a true treat -- a Cardamom-infused chocolate cake. It had the most amazing taste that just exploded in your mouth. On top of it all, the service was exceptional. The staff was both knowledgeable and personable. And, my water glass stayed full. Bottom line, if India = Taj Mahal, then the finest Indian cusine = Tanzore. Period.

Best Indian Food
After hearing so many positive things about Tanzore we had to go check it out. My girlfriend and I both entered the restaurant and were pleasantly surprised. Words cannot express how wonderful great this restaurant looks from the inside. It was like a Trendy NY restaurant mixed with the Las Vegas Style and of course with the LA posh we all love.

We've eaten at hundreds of restaurant across the US and this place definitely ranks well. Especially for an Indian restaurant. Seating was prompt and the waitress did a wonderful job explaining the dishes. I highly recommend the basket of breads...perfect combo of naans. The lamb and chicken dishes tasted great. My girlfriend likes her food on the mild side.. it was perfectly seasoned for her. They did a good job with my spicy dishes as well.

Every dish was mouth watering and delicious. I'm planning to go back and take my parents and friends really soon. Ambience/Style points - off the charts, service - Excellent, Food- Great. The owners defiantly didn't forget about the little things that make a restaurant experience memorable. (The men's restrooms even had little TV screens) Finally a great Indian restaurant with delicious food and style.

Finally --- a quality Indian Restaurant in LA!
went to tanzore on my birthday and had an amazing meal. this is the kind of place you are more likely to find in london. very cool atmosphere, excellent food, great wait staff.

the chef is an artist taking the usual indian menu and elevating it by creating completely unique dishes. this is the place to eat if you are tired of the same old chicken tikka masala at your corner indian restaurant.

there's also a great lounge area playing bollywood movies. very hip.

Overpriced cliched indian food
This place is really overpriced. The staff is extremely unfriendly. We made a reservation, but of course they could not find it. We then had to wait 30 mins until they found us a seat. This was very unusual since the restaurant was not very crowed. The food iteself-not so great. Overly spiced, greasy dishes. Small portions. We went away not wanting any more.
