I just purchased a 2005 Dodge Durango with 54000 miles and had all of the fluids changed out for piece of mind. The mechanic that worked on my vehicle had done an inspection and noticed that my right manifold had an exhaust leak. He told me to go into any dodge dealership to get it fixed for free because it was covered under the dodge 7 yr 70000 mile warranty (he worked for dodge as a mechanic previously). I called this dealership and they told me that I would have to pay 118 dollars an hour to have the vehicle inspected and if it did have an exhaust leak that it should be covered. I told her I was definate that it had an exhaust leak (i heard it myself) and asked it was covered under the warrenty and she said that there was no way to tell if it was covered. I then called another dealership that promptly transfered me to someone that understood the warranty that dodge has and told me it was covered for free and also a timeframe for fixing the problem. I too agree that they do not return calls: I too experienced bad customer service. They are nice while you are there but if they say "We will call you back" then you can pretty much bet you aren't getting a car or a return call. We experienced this once before but decided to go back and give them the benefit off the doubt. Well we shouldn't have gone back because they did it to us again. They led us on to believe we would get financed and then said they would call us when it was finalized and low and behold they never called us. We called them back several times on both occassions and they wouldn't give us a straight answer. We got "we are still working on it". I would not recommend this dealership. I say go to someone who can give you a straight answer even if it is bad news. Part of customer service is being able to give people good news and bad news.
