Has lower prices than Home Depot or Lowe's. But really a "do it yourself" place. This place is geared more to experienced do it yourselfers who don't need to ask many questions. Difficult to find help in here. Go to Lowes or Home Depot, which are geared more towards women and inexperienced people to ask your questions then go to sutherlands to buy the materials at 10 to 20% savings. 4 out of 5 stars.

If customer service matters to you, this isn't the place. I went here this past weekend looking to purchase a ladder and to take a look at their portable air conditioners. I was prepared to put out some money. I passed at least 10 people/associates and NOT ONE acknowledged me or asked if I needed help. I am not a hardware buff and don't know it all and these people walked completely by me without saying a word while I am wandering the isles aimlessly looking for my fiancee who actually finally found the ladders on his own. There was no price for the one he was looking at, so he had to take it to the front. He lodged his complaint with the clerk up there and I doubt if it will make a difference. I will not be going back to this store.
