If you're looking for that special tureen or maybe a Le Cruset dish in the shape of a pumpkin...You can find it at Sur La Table. I am a total foodie...I love this store. They have great cookbooks...every cooking gadget you'd ever need...or dream of. If you need a copper bowl to whip meringue, they've got it. If you need a double boiler to melt chocolate, bingo. They occasionally have cooking demonstrations and book signings. I missed Giada de Laurentis when she was here...<sniffle>. I just love this store. Did I mention I was a fan?

For those looking for utilitarian & cute. Some things cost more than others: Le Crueset pots for example. Some are very reasonable like pretty napkins or their Easter egg cups.
I bought a towel whose colors bled & stained itself the first time I washed it-in cold water-but I've been really happy with everything else.

Parking is either pay on street or pay in garage.

If you like to spend a lot of time in the kitchen then this place is practically paradise! They have everything you could ever need for you kitchen and some things that you don't need but would look really cool anyway! They have some of the more unusual things that you won't find at every store. I believe that some location even offer cooking schools but I could be wrong. I like to just walk around in here and dream of someday having a kitchen large enough to hold it all and enough money to afford it (this is not a cheap store but the quality is good).

Looking for Buffalo China? Sur la Table is one of the few places in Pasadena that stock it -- dinner and salad plates, soup and creal bowls, cups, saucers, and serving plates. There's a good assortment of quality knives, pots and pans, and table cloths in many sizes, shapes, and colors. At the check-out counter are a variety of useful items. Crumb scrapers, for instance. Three kinds: pocket-sized with gold-plate and a pen-clip, silver-sheathed with blue film and a black plastic handle, and a large rectangle made of aluminum.
