We were pleased with the roof, but that's where the good points stop. The owner (who had replaced windows for us 2 years ago) comes off as a fair, honest person, unless you question his numbers. He took advantage of our inexperience with this large of an insurance job (roof damage from Gustav). He has put a fraudulent lien on our home (which he knows we have up for sale), and absolutely REFUSES to discuss the matter or listen to why we think his numbers are wrong. He sticks to his contention that the original contract he wrote is accurate, even though he's claiming money that the insurance company paid for other repairs that have nothing to do with the roof work. Every document we get from him has different figures on it. He even cut and pasted our signatures from the original contract onto a fraudulent contract that he sent to our insurance company in an attempt to get additional money out of them. This guy is totally dishonest and his figures are so convoluted, there is absolutely no way a judge would find in his favor. The problem is that he has more money to fight than we do. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!!!

The owner of Superior Contracting is a money-grubbing, incompetent A-HOLE. He will nickle and dime you to death, over-charging you for everything. He charges an extra 20% above all fees and subcontracts everything out and lies to his subcontractors about what he is charging the client. He does nothing and makes 35% just for showing up to your house to give you an estimate. He tried to get the subcontractor to do the job sub-standard so he could make even more money. When we asked him to do something different to help us save us money as well as himself, he REFUSED saying we were under contract and that he would put a lien on our house. He is by far the most unprofessional, unethical and incompetent contractor we've ever used. Find someone else for your contracting needs!

The project manager never once showed up to the project site (my home). He basically sub-contracted everything out to individuals whom he would bad-mouth. I had to deal with all the sub-contractors and he (the project manager) even told me the job was finished before he did a walk-through (which the job was not complete). I told him my concern of him not overseeing the project, and he still did not come over. I also believe that he charges much more than he leads you to believe. For instance, when you get a price estimate, you think you are paying a certain amount for a specialty, but he doubles that price and then will charge you overhead and profit on top of that. I would not recommend this contractor.

STAY AWAY FROM THESE GUYS!!! They just call the subs and send them to your house to deal with. They arrive at your house with no detail knowledge of what to do. YOU end up playing the part of the contractor instead of these guys. They'll show up minimally. They guy that was "in charge" of our project was new to the contracting business.
