NOT a good practice!
I met with Dr. Robertson before my baby was born and found him to be very charming, and he can be, until he berates you for something you for something you did or didn't do according to his instructions. (Why can't doctors keep proper records or check the patient's chart before entering the room?) I should have switched doctors right after my baby was born and didn't come to see her for over 24 hours, even though the nurses kept calling because she had a fever (she ended up in the NICU). That should have been my first indication of how he runs his practice, and things continued to go downhill from there.
It took over two hours every time I went in for a well checkup, even after being told I got the best appointment time to get in and out quickly, AND after being told that things had slowed down because cold and flu season was over.
The final straw was when it took over 20 minutes just to pay my co-pay after a checkup. I had to sit and wait while the office staff chatted with another parent and when I was finally acknowledged was told that my chart had not been turned in. I then waited a while longer waiting for the nurse to turn the chart in and got attitude from her when I requested that she complete the paperwork she was supposed to have completed before turning the chart in.
If you like spending the majority of your day hanging around a very dreary, run-down office waiting hours to see the doctor when you have an appointment, then having him spend 5 minutes with your child, then this is the place for you! My impression is that Dr. Robertson is more concerned about making money than providing quality service. I have switched to another practice and was in and out of that office in less than an hour, including filling out the new patient paperwork -and the doctor is much more caring and gentle with my baby.
