Dr. Robertson is Great by Carl S. at InsiderPages
Dr. Robertson has been caring for my children since my oldest was one year old (13 years ago). He has a great rapport with the kids and talks to me like I have more than half a brain. He's easy to talk to and is very commited to his patients. When my youngest chocked on a piece of candy, Dr. Robertson was on the phone before the paramedics arrived telling us what to do. While I dislike the fact that he doesn't bill second insurance and his office is a bit chaotic, he will always be our pediatrician.

NOT a good practice!
I met with Dr. Robertson before my baby was born and found him to be very charming, and he can be, until he berates you for something you for something you did or didn't do according to his instructions. (Why can't doctors keep proper records or check the patient's chart before entering the room?) I should have switched doctors right after my baby was born and didn't come to see her for over 24 hours, even though the nurses kept calling because she had a fever (she ended up in the NICU). That should have been my first indication of how he runs his practice, and things continued to go downhill from there.

It took over two hours every time I went in for a well checkup, even after being told I got the best appointment time to get in and out quickly, AND after being told that things had slowed down because cold and flu season was over.

The final straw was when it took over 20 minutes just to pay my co-pay after a checkup. I had to sit and wait while the office staff chatted with another parent and when I was finally acknowledged was told that my chart had not been turned in. I then waited a while longer waiting for the nurse to turn the chart in and got attitude from her when I requested that she complete the paperwork she was supposed to have completed before turning the chart in.

If you like spending the majority of your day hanging around a very dreary, run-down office waiting hours to see the doctor when you have an appointment, then having him spend 5 minutes with your child, then this is the place for you! My impression is that Dr. Robertson is more concerned about making money than providing quality service. I have switched to another practice and was in and out of that office in less than an hour, including filling out the new patient paperwork -and the doctor is much more caring and gentle with my baby.

Moms and Dads- there's no excuse for a doctor's of

Great Doctor
Dr Tenby is great. He is funny with the kids to make them feel relaxed. He didn't rush and gave my boys stickers after the shots. The nurse was friendly and caring as well. I didn't wait very long either. I have not seen the other doctors in the office, but I hear they are great as well.

Dr. John Lepore by Eucharis D. at InsiderPages
When I gave birth to my 2nd child, I already had my first son's Dr. in mind. However she wasn't covered at Summerlin so they assigned Dr. Lepore to release the baby and I'm very grateful for that. I was very impressed on the first visit that I decided to give him a try and I eventually stayed with him. He's such a wonderful, caring Doctor that's VERY passionate about his career. His genuine love for children shows- it's such a shame that my new insurance won't cover him : ( . If you're in search of a Doctor that will love your child like you do-Dr. Lepore is your answer!

PROS: his passion
CONS:

Great Docs and a caring staff! by Beth D. at InsiderPages
I met this doctor while I was still pregnant with my child 9 years ago. I was very impressed with him then and still am now. There are additional doctors now working in the office and all are exceptional. When it comes to my child, I want the best, with Sunshine Valley Peds, I know I have found just that.
