I was looking for daycare close to our home good for my daughter who is 4. The sunshine daycare staff is very friendly. The atmosphere there is tranquil, nice, and organized.

The other poster mentioned the biting. When I first started they actually mentioned that specific child to me, and said they were working on it. A half year later she hasn't come home with a bite, so I guess they got it under control, though if I was the other poster I'd have been angry too.

Everytime she's ever come home with a bruise or accident, they've made sure to communicate to me exactly what happened, and they did know what happened, and have noticed and sent her home when sick.

She's learned some healthful stuff there, and is happy to go to daycare. I like this daycare, and my daughter is happy there. They were very nice about loaning out underwear for the final phase of pottytraining when she'd wet herself when she napped.

I did pull my son out of a bad daycare once, so I won't take just anything, but this place has been fine. I am glad they took care of the biting issue before I started though.

So my girlfriend and I have kinda shopped around for Child Care service which is afordable and local so that it would be convenient for the three of us, 2 parents and 1 child. His teacher is great, she has helped him with his speach and with potty training, which we all know can be a chore! I very much apreciate all of her help and support in helping him along but one thing that worries me a lot about Sunshine Place day care is that almost everyday our son comes home with new BITE marks! Now I am not there to see all that is going on but a child should not fear going to school because he is afraid of being bitten every day that he is there. I think they need to train the instructors to keep a closer eye on the children so that it would be a fun and safe experience for all of the kids that attend.

PROS: Teachers are great with working on skills, fundamentals and manners.
CONS: Supervision on the play areas is slim, children attack eachother.
