Will look for a better salon
I'm a young woman who knows how I like to have my hair done, come in with plenty of pictures, and plenty of specific directions for what I want done, and what I don't want. I had been going to the same stylist for 3-4 years over which time we had developed a trust and familiarity that he knows what works for me and what I like, and I can give him vague limitations but otherwise trust his judgement and give him full artistic & creative liscence. He was the best. But I had to leave my favorite stylist when I moved to Indy for work reasons, and so far I haven't been able to find a new stylist that comes even close.
I've been to Studio 2000 twice for a hair cut. Both times, the experience has been "meh". Not horrible, but nothing to rave about. When making my very first appointment, I specifically asked for someone who is good at styling thick hair, someone skilled with long layers and textured cuts and went with their recommendation (I believe her name was Christina). I also got an all-over color the first time. The first visit was okay. The stylist and staff were polite, but not really cordial or friendly. I wasn't excited/thrilled with the cut but it was satisfactory enough to give them a second try. The second time with the same stylist was more disappointing. The cut was heavy and bulky, and during my appointment I felt rather neglected (and the salon wasn't even busy). The stylist seemed disinterested in the work at hand, and barely cracked a smile. I don't recall her asking even if I was happy with my hair afterwards.
Overall, I wouldn't recommend this salon. The interior is nice, but staff seemed disinterested and lacked enthusiasm, and the hair-styling was mediocre and nothing to rave about. I will be going to a different salon next time.
