I went to a number of different carpet places in the Oakland-Berkeley area and chose Straus Carpet hands down over the other 6. The prices, selection, service, the certainty in respect to when I will hear from them, when they will come to measure for accuracy, and the installers were prompt, efficient, did a beautiful job from start to finish. At the showroom I was greeted and then left alone to move about and this is just what I love. Smooth with no drama was what I was looking for and found! All of this was for my office and I would highly recommend them for home or office, a small or large job. I can't say enough good things...and we all need more than enough in the good things department!!‎

When we were recarpeting our home a couple of years ago, we looked all over but ended up at Straus Carpets. Their prices were competitive with Home Depot's. They had a large variety of carpeting in terms of style, color, quality and price. The staff and owner were marvelously helpful and were very knowledgeable. When we had our carpet installed, the quality of the workmanship was excellent. I would strongly recommend Straus Carpeting. I'm sure we'll go back there when we are ready to buy carpeting in the future.
