It's not bad, I do shop here sometimes, but to be completely honest....this is a pet store so I bring in my dog everytime I shop there, and there has not been one time that an employee there has paid any attention to him. They are nice enough to me, but there is no connection to my pet. The store also feels a bit crowded to me. A lot of stuff everywhere, not that it's messy. It's just full. They do have some things other pet stores do not have such as birds, live food (crickets), and raw food pet diets.

I recently adopted 2 cats from the SPCA - both were about a year old at the time of adoption. I decided to feed them more species-appropriate diets (no grains) and was having trouble finding a good selection at Petco or PetSmart. One day I happened past Stone's on my way to the hardware store, and even though I'd had a less than stellar visit there some years ago, decided to try it again. I was pleasantly surprised to find a delightful and knowledgeable young lady (Adrienne) working there that day, who spent about 20 minutes with me explaining the differences in the wet and dry foods. I've been a convert ever since! I also love Tom and Louise, the owners, who are equally friendly and helpful, and recognize me when I come in. They even ordered some special treats for me when I brought in the container (purchased elsewhere) to show them. Great customer service will bring me back again and again, even if it IS a bit out of my way!

I find myself coming to there store, even when i dont need anything, I have gotten many pets from their store, as well as my weekly crickets and Fish, my sister just the other day purchased a guinea pig from their store, and he has to be the happiest healthiest piggy around! I got a bird from their store and i have not encountered any problems with it! Even if you cant find what you need, they'll get it for you! Thanks for being around stones!!!

Remember in the "olden" days when owners worked the stores, were friendly, knew everything about what they sell, and greeted you by name with a big, sincere smile? They are back in Stone's Pet Store! Tom and Louise are absolutely, beautiful people. They research the health benefits of the pet foods they sell, are personable, take time with you, will special order, and talk with sound knowledge about the products. When our dog had surgery and needed good food fast, they spent much time with me explaining the various benefits and reasoning behind each type of food. .It is the further pet store from my house and I have to go out of my way to go there, yet I go there. That says a lot!

Stone's is a great pet shop. The new owners are very friendly, warm and helpful. They take great care of the animals (mostly birds and fish) in the shop. They let the bird out of their cages and give them lots of attention so they make good pets. I bought a bird there and they are willing to hold it for me until Christmas Eve (almost one month away) at no additional cost. All of their birds are health tested. I highly recommend shopping there. The quality of the animal, service, and products is well worth it. While you are there, stop in at the bagel bakery and get yourself a yummy bagel.
