Bottom line is that I like this place. At first, I found the size overwhelming and lost my friends several times. It's maybe 3 stories or so with an awesome roof patio that it super enjoyable on a summer evening. I went to an event here that the owners hosted. The drinks were strong, the staff prompt with drink delivery, and I had some appetizers that were pretty good. My favorite thing though is the overall ambiance. The ground floor got pretty loud though due to the music and I had to shout to talk to people. It was way more peaceful on the roof. Nice lounge chairs up there too.

I’ve never been to the restaurant at Stingaree so I can’t vouch for the food, but the night club is pretty nice. Everyone definitely comes dressed to impress. There are like three different levels which are pretty cool so if you get bored of the scenery and or music you can just migrate somewhere else. It also makes it feel like a pretty big club and spacious. The dance floor does can get pretty packed though. The upper level especially is enjoyable when it gets crowded inside, you can come outside and get some fresh air. The music selection seems good too, it’s nice that there is a variety

Nice spot for a night on the town. I really like this place because it has an upstairs and downstairs so if you aren't enjoying the music in one area you can just float around and check out another area. Since it's right downtown it's really convenient and always seems to have a mix of people and ages. Great time for girls night out and it's still walking distance to a lot of other great venues. Wear your good shoes because you'll want to be on your feet dancing all night!

my friend had no clue what he wanted to do for his birthday...i was gonna suggest a really cool art event going on in north park that had local bands, a gallery, and alcohol. ...but to my horror he suggested we go clubbing at stingaree. it's not that i have anything against stingaree, but i just don't like downtown clubbing...and this is the epitome of that...so if you enjoy that scene, this place is definitely for you.

my experience was mixed. i did kiiiinda enjoy the crowd. i was trying to get my friend women, and most of the girls i talked to seemed receptive. the DJ was really good early in the night, playing my favorite 90s anthems. when the club got more packed is when he switched to top 40s...then later in the night, he switched to top 40s techno remixes?

so yeah...good place to go to if you are into the clubbing scene and meeting people and what not. i could totally do without the $20 cover [after 10pm] and the girl getting consentually violated with a random guy's finger on the dance floor. ehhck.

drinks: it's downtown, expect expensive.

cover: depends. if you're on the guestlist, you either get in for free, unless you come after 11, then you have to pay between $20 or $30. not worth it if you ask me.

ambiance: it's actually really nice and classy looking inside. too bad i can't say the same about some of the people

dress code: i could only speak for the ladies. i've worn jeans and a nice top and still was able to get in. i've also worn dresses too. i guess a girl could pretty much wear anything as long as it's "nice." i've seen guys wear jeans with collared button ups, but, always with dress shoes, never sneakers.

food: it's okay. a bit overpriced, but that's nothing new.

other: i like the rooftop where you can admire a good view of downtown sd. VIP is pretty awesome with bottle service. music is alright, your standard mix what's on the radio + old school stuff.
