This company should be investigated. We were given the wrong stone and mistreated and I became so mad that I went online myself.

My younger step brother was a cop for over 30 years. He loved working on the force and was respected by others in the police force. We all loved him dearly. He was a good father, husband, and for me as my brother, I could count everything I had on him.

He died of a heart attack. All of us, including his wife and 2 teenage kids were devastated.

We chose Staten Island Monuments to do the stone. We found out later that Staten Island Monuments is some company with something like 15 different business names including Artists Memorial, Moravian, some pizza place and some construction business. If we saw this first, we would have walked right out the door. I'm retired, and have been around long enough to know that a company with many names means they are up to no good.

They were friendly until we gave them the check. We paid extra too. Once that happened, then they acted like they didn't know us.

In the end, they completely screwed up the stone. The artwork we wanted was not what we specified. He avoided our calls as often as he could. We asked Robert Flood for some money back, we got nothing.

These guys are clearly more interested in making pizza's than taking care of families. Take my advice and keep on driving when you see their offices.

I am shocked they are allowed to operate. For my sister's grave, they had the head stone cut wrong with the name spelled wrong. They refused to refund any money to us.

My sister was my best friend. I don't have the strength to fight or the money for a lawyer. I only hope that those that read this don't do business with these people. Our family read what others wrote. As an Italian family, this hurts us very much. I cried for days.

I am glad my mother didn't see this. My sister was her favorite. If my mother were alive, she would say "Malochhio sui Staten Island Monuments"

We were ripped off too!! Stay away from this company!

If there was a company to fall under the definition of 'SCUM', then Staten Island Monuments / Artists Memorial is it.
This company defrauded our family of thousands of dollars. They also charge more than their competitors, so it is prudent to shop around. They are also VERY smooth talkers. If you have already read this, then stay away. If you are more curious, I advise looking through the records of the better business bureau.
