I would recommend this to anyone who wants to go out and have fun for a night. On friday, they have ballroom dance lessons for $12 and it includes hours of lessons. It's really a lot of fun. I'd go again any time.

Starlite dance teaches all kinds of ballroom dancing. They offer both private and group lessons. The private lessons are a bit pricy but if you actually want to learn something they are the way to go. With privates the teacher pays attention only to you, but in group they just dont have enough time and too many people to look at. They have really nice floors so oyu can really get your footwork on. If you are going to take the begining partner class best bring your own partner (believe me) otherwise you'll be really frustrated with an unexperienced partenr who steps on your toes. All the teachers at the studio are pretty good so it doesnt really matter who you get.

I practice at the Starlite, and recommend it for anything but salsa - they have good teachers, a great floor, and competitive prices. They teach all forms of ballroom dances.

For salsa go to Alberto's in M.V. on T/Th nights for the drop-in classes with Pantea or Gabriel. Salsa's a club dance and the Starlite will teach you ballroom salsa which is very different

Supposedly the largest teaching ballroom in the country with 3 dance floors and dancing all weekend. Helps if you know all the standard ballroom dances - you'll be dancing all night.
