After wearing a white dress once, I discovered a small stain on the back of it. I brought the dress to Town & Country cleaners only to find (when I picked it up a week later) that part of the dress had been shredded during the cleaning process. I was first told that I dropped it off in that condition (which I did not), then I was told that it was the manufacturer??????s fault and that this type of adornment could not be cleaned without being ruined. After pointing out that I left the dress in their responsibility and that if it couldn??????t be cleaned than they shouldn??????t have cleaned it, I was informed that they ??????did not know?????? the fabric would fray and they weren??????t responsible. I took the dress to the store I bought it at (BCBG) at which the sales lady showed me 6 other dresses with the same hem line and unequivocally stood by the opinion that they cleaners ruined my dress. Seeing as how BCBG is an international, reputable company I am strongly inclined to take their word for it, over some dirty hole in the wall cleaners. The only reason I didn??????t take the cleaners to small claims court is because the sales lady was amazing enough just to give me a refund.
I will NEVER go to this cleaner again. Not only did they ruin my dress, deny it and treat me horribly as a customer, but they did not even get the dress completely clean.
