We were in the market for a used "garage" refrigerator. Just something simple to put extra beer and beverages in for the summer.
The refrigerators my husband and I looked at today were absolutely disgusting. I understand that they're used---but if they're gonna charge $400 for a fridge from the 80's filled with mold and stink, wouldn't they at least clean it up a bit? Most of the refrigerators in there were overpriced junk. Honestly--how would that be appealing to ANYONE?! We decided to go elsewhere.

They probably have the nicest showroom of any appliance store around. Their service is pretty good, and their prices are decent. We built a home recently and had them bid all the appliances and their prices were very competitive, but not the lowest.

will not be back. Terrible customer service. Price on sale items inflated to make the new price seem like a better deal then it actually was.

When I finally bit the bullet and bought a new townhome, I had to buy the fridge. I worked with GLENDA and she treated me well. I got a great side by side fridge and then later bought a washer and dryer combo. I love the service at Standard...make sure you get the extended warranty. The peace of mind is worth it!

PROS: Local place!
CONS: expensive.

We had to buy a replacement drop in stove. Our salesman immediately stopped us from telling him what we wanted and instead asked a bunch of questions about the one we had. I started to get irritated until he explained that only two stoves they carried would fit the opening that we had. If we got anything else it would require additional expense and trouble to install. When we asked about the ones we originally wanted, he looked up the specs and sure enough, they would not fit. Did we pay more than at some discount place? Yeah. Did we get better service and are happier with the purchase? Oh Yeah! Why save a few bucks to spend hundreds more in renovation costs? We did check prices and found they were pretty close to the other major stores (not the discounters) if you looked at the total cost (in the house & working) We also got a fridge here and it was a great deal and is perfect for our needs.

CONS: Tiny store, lack of parking
