Decent BBQ but nothing to write home about. The huspuppies aren't too bad. They do give you a lot of food for the money. Stameys will satisfy your 'cue craving if you're in the area, but it's not the best 'cue joint in the area.

This is great BBQ. No frills here, just the basics on the menu. I love how I can get a full meal for my family for cheap. They are really fast for take out too. Great place to get yummy bbq when you are watching your wallet.

From the outside Stamey's Doesn't look like much. Inside the decor is simple and diner syle. The menu is short and to the point offering a selection of pork or chicken for barbecue and sides of hush puppies, cole slaw and more. Service was prompt and courteous, I was seated promptly and never had to ask for a drink refill. Food is cheap and given in huge heaping portions. A great value and good for lunch or a easy dinner.

Not being from the south BBQ was a new thing for me. In Canada bbq is something you do not something you eat. I have tried a few different types of bbq since moving to the south and found Stamey's to be the best. The sauce is vinegar based so if you don't like vinegar ask for it on the side. I usually do. You can also buy their bbq frozen and I will tell you that it is equally as good as their fresh. Another must to try here is the hushpuppies (with a little hot sauce for dipping) YUMM YUMM
