At the end of the day this clinic is one of the best in town. However in my experience you have to push a little bit if you're truly concerned about something. It seems that they tend to be quick to dismiss patient's concerns. I'd say go here for checkups, shots and such but nothing serious.

We live in the area, and needed a pediatrician, so we came here. They were great for all the little things like vaccinations and checkups, with very short wait times in the lobby, and appointments within days. The staff are overall very friendly. Dr Bob is wonderful :^) One thing, though, if you feel that your child is having trouble breathing, be sure to -ask- for a pulse oximeter reading, which is one of the tests of respiratory and cardiac function. Although it takes only seconds, this office does not do this routinely with sick children. If you feel that your child's life is threatened by the illness, bring them to Drummond's ER instead. The doctors at Southern Sierra see so many relatively healthy children accompanied by concerned parents that they may not recognize a truly serious illness, from personal experience.

We took our daughters here after having problems with another place, and were so impressed! I was filling out paperwork, and before I was done they called us in. They got us an appointment in less than a week of when I called. The doctor was so nice, and was great with the kids. The lab staff was friendly, and handled children very well too. I would recommend them anytime, anyday!
