Have seen much better science museums‎
... in of all places, Huntsville and Birmingham, AL, and Chattanooga, TN. This one was a real let down. Very dingy - the minature golf course is decaying. But that's not why we went - it's just dark and depressing without much to offer. Even the Birmingham Science museum has indoor, clean, dinoasur dig, electric miniature car track - kids assemble their own cars - Huntsville has all sorts of interactive exhibits demonstrating different laws of physics - Chatannoga has activity rooms in which children may participate in creating some craft related to a particular exhibit. Then there was the puppet show that blared so loudly, continually in one of the halls, you didn't want to stay in that hall. But there was no puppet show, just the loud noise coming out of the puppet stage. South Florida Science museum could really do with a visit to some other, better science museums, to get an idea of what a real science museum is like. And they need a new building, or a reconfiguration ...
