Worst patient care and follow up I have every recieved.
I reciently had an annual physical at this office. I have never been so dissatified with the compentancy of service and follow up. I did not get a complete explaination of my test, I did not get results of some of my test, and I recieved phone calls to come in for follow up appointments for Test I did not even have there. I called to try and get my results my self and I was told that the doctor went over everything with me because that is what he had written in his notes, this is and untrue statement. Dr. Cheng will not personally call me to discuss my disatisfaction in fact he told his staff he was insulted that I question him. Well when you have a CAT scan and the doctor tells you that you have mulphal noduals on your lungs and does not explain what this count mean, just says we will have you get another CAT scan in six months. Well I went myself to the Lab and got a copy of the report and the report had alot more to say. Ovisiously Dr. Cheng did not read the complete report, it stated I have noduals on my lungs, kidneys, pancreous as well. So I had to take my well being into my own hands and go and get answers.

Great if you're looking to not feel better!
Dr. Sunshine - yes that's his real name - was very pleasant. The problem was that he was more interested in trying to get me to use home remedies or other over the counter items when I really needed antibiotics. I had an extreme infection in both ears, which I mentioned and his assistant checked, but he decided it wasn't that bad and I should use a nasal rinse and take some sudafed. Who knows what that has to do with my ears. Well, that didn't make a dent in my problem, as I am susceptible to sinust infections and decided to see a doctor before it got worse. Dr. Sunshine asked me if I smoked and then asked if I had Asthma. I told him I don't smoke and I don't have asthma. He said that only people that have issues such as mine are people who smoke or have asthma. I was floored he would insinuate I was lying. Had I been in better health I would have spoken up, but I just let it go. I went to the store (3 actually before I could find the nasal rinse he wanted me to purchase) spent a bunch of money, and purchased the myriad of items he recommended in hopes that he was right.

Well, he wasn't. In fact my ear infection was so bad the next day that I couldn't even take myself to the doctor. I was in horrible pain and disoriented. The doctor I went to see was Dr. Sims of South County Family Medical - not to be confused with South Coast Medical Group. Dr Sims was fantastic. I highly recommend that facility.
