South Bay is a fairly decent gym. The staff is friendly, but at times, seems to be confused with what is going on. The gymnastics taught is safe, and not too bad in the competitions.

I used to do Gymnastics before here and I absolutely loved it! The facilities are nice and the coaches are great. The kids all seem to have fun and everything is still very structured for maximum learning.

I'm wondering if the other reviewer actually was a student of this gym. I found the staff to be undereducated and young and the main coach, Jerry Jackson, spends the majority of his privates doing more talking than coaching - and he's also a real estate agent, apparently. None of the coaches are mean, I just found them to be inept for their jobs. Since gymnastics is a sport where concentration and knowledge are key to avoid mishaps, this place scared me. By the way, my opinion is that anyone who would sign a waiver that absolves the coaches/facility of any kind of responsibility for any type of accident is probably not aware that this is atypical and nuts!

The coaches, parents and kids at this gym are all absolutely amazing. The coaches have done a great job with their competitive team. This is a great place to start your child in gymnastics
