Bought a home and Shayn Scott and Karen Sanchez of Sotheby's represented the seller. The seller was a total deadbeat and initially the agents would frequently apologize for how unnecessarily difficult their client was making things but as we got closer to close they just let their client disregard the contract and drag their feet. We closed a week late and the sellers left a ton of junk and debris in the house and yard including a few large bulky items specifically named in the contract for the seller to take away. In my previous experience when a seller left a lot of junk, the selling agent was very pro-active in resolving the problem - not so with these two. Maybe if you're a deadbeat selling your house, these two are the right agents for you but otherwise I'd avoid doing a transaction with them. I'm really shocked by their disregard for the contract.
Generally, the Sotheby's name conjures a sense of prestige and quality but this experience dispels this myth.
