My beloved kitty had grown old and was very ill when I hat to take him to see Dr. Palermo. With her very exceptional care for him and this end of life experience, my overwhelming sadness....her care was wonderful as was her staff. I've never felt so confident before in any Vet and will be going to see her soon for a kitten and then the kitty/care. One could not be in better hands with their pets.

Dr Switzer is one of the vets at this office~ and he is definitely one of the 'old school' vets! This is a good thing!
Many vets use expensive tests instead of hands on ~ which is fine except that many things can be diagnosed with the hands on exam for a lot less time and money!!
I first came to Dr Switzer with my dog who after extensive tests and exams by a vet in another town was diagnosed with a gap in his spine that was causing pain all over and generally causing my dog to feel really awful.
I was told by this other vet that he would need an MRI ($1k) and spinal surgery ($2k). Ugh!
So, came back home to Sonoma for a visit and while here my mom suggested I let Dr Switzer look at him.
He said to give him a 30-day course of antibiotics ($30) and see what happened.
After a month my dog was FINE!!!
Dr Switzer said it was likely an organic infection~ probably Lyme Disease~ and that my dog was cured!
I can verify that years later my dog is still fine after several months of pain.
Thank God for Dr Switzer~ not only did he save me $$ but he saved my dog's life!

I have also had to have several elderly animals euthanized. Dr Switzer and the other Dr in the office are very kind and sensitive with the animals and the patients. I've even gotten a card several days later from the office.

Very nice! Definitely recommended!
They are a bit out of town~ but not too far~ worth the drive! Parking is pretty easy in a little circular driveway!
