The best nursery - EVER.‎

I was blown away with the quality and service from Sonoma Mission Gardens. Denise, Deb, et. al. were so accommodating at every turn, and believe me, we covered some ground! I love the selection... from foliage to fountains - all first class - and the arrangements by Deb were simply gorgeous! It was all so inspirational - I can't wait to get planting!‎

A Nursery With An Odd, Depressing Atmosphere‎

The selection of plants at this fairly large nursery is average. Your usual pansies, impatiens, etc. The occasional nice 4" perennial pot, but their gallon and 5 gallon plants are generally not of top quality and the selection of varieties is limited. If you're looking for organics, you are also out of luck here. But it's the strange presence of numerous caged exotic birds at this nursery that gives it a very weird atmosphere. Majestic peacocks, pheasants and other large birds are crammed into small, ornate cages that do not even look clean. The birds must be miserable, and doubtless are being subjected to any spraying of toxins that is being done at this nursery. We were really very put off by this outdated attitude toward living animals...they are being treated like some peculiar Victorianesque exhibit in the midst of the plants. Creepy and sad. Sonoma Mission Gardens is located on a sizable piece of land. They would do well to take their poor birds to a sanctuary where ...
