Not too crazy about the service here, but the food is always good!!! I never liked baked beans until I had Smokehouse's baked beans, that's how good they are!!! I always get the same thing when I come here... Jr Smokehouse sandwich with turkey and beef, extra pickles, beans instead of slaw (and I dip them in my fries). My husband likes their pulled pork sandwich.

We were wanting to get a bit of lunch in between shopping around town. The parking lot was full so we thought we might have quite a wait. However when we got in, we were seated right away. Our waitress was prompt and got us menus and drinks within seconds. She ask us if we wanted to put ion an appetizer order while we looked over the menu. We declined and continued to peruse the menu making decision.My son ordered a specialty beer from their menu. The waitress returned and told us that they no longer had that beer.We ordered our nd then began a long wait to get our meal. From the time that ENTREES AND A SHARED APPETIZER OF CORN NUGGETS. tHE CORN NUGGETS CAME OUT HOT AND in a reasonable amount of time. The remainder of our order took over 30 minutes. The restaurant was not beign slammed but time out of the kitchen was too long. The wait staff appeared to be doing everything they could. The hang up was in the kitchen.
When our food did come, it was excellent. We had corn nuggets--a must and great for dipping in ranch dressing- as an appetizer. Each of us ordered something different and all of us were please with the quality of our selections. Just across from Independence Center, Smokehouse offers world-class food at reasonable prices.

They offer a variety of appetizers but I recommend the fried cauliflower and the corn nuggets.

Any entree you order will be delicious but I recommend getting a combo platter so you can try some of everything.

Make sure to leave room for dessert!

There is a beautiful stained glass ceiling in the main dining room.

It is crowded but well worth the wait! You can also buy the sauce to take home with you.

If I could give more than 5 stars, I would!

I had bad service and food at Smokehouse and when I complained. The manager asked that I do not come back. If that is the way complaints are treated they do not deserve any business.

Beautiful stained glass dome ceiling. Nice atmosphere. Very large restaurant with separate banquet hall. Food and service is excellent. Very much family oriented. I would recommend this restaurant to anyone who loves bbq.
