Firsly, Dr. Smurthwaithe did a partial crown on me about a year ago, I called and made an appointment because I had been experiencing persistant pain in the tooth and bleeding on my gums around it. He snapped at me saying that he had done a great job, there was nothing wrong with the tooth and I must be imagining it. Secondly, every time I visit his office he and his staff pressure me to get Invisiline braces or veneers, even though I've repeatedly told him that I am a student they are not covered by my insurance and out of my price range. I have slightly crooked teeth that Ive never felt self concsious about, until visiting his office and being made to feel like a mutant. When I've expressed that my focus for now is on keeping my teeth healthy I've been treated extrememly rudely. They seem only concerned with patients who have more money to spend on expensive cosmetic procedures.‎
