I was in search of a rental clarinet for my daughter's music class three years ago. Music stores in my town ran out of their rental, so I came to Skip's music. They had a brand new Yamaha clarinet I could rent. My daughter just loved it and I ended up buying it a year later. They let me use a portion of rental fee for the purchase price so I didn't have to pay the full amount when I bought it. I thought it was really good plan they offer.

Skips used to be the biggest music store in town until guitar center opened up. The selection is varied and the have things that guitar center does not. Many of the staff have there years and overall are pretty helpful. The downside of the place and that many of the prices are too high, although they do have super sales from time to time
