I was relieved the day I was referred to Dr. Skefich by another Professional Health Care Practitioner. Unlike another patient "Joe" commented before, I knew from the start exactly what I wanted and what I didn't want, because of all the failed treatments I had received during my search for a chiropractor. Dr. Skefich's assistant sent to me, and had me fill out and return, a case history a few days prior to my first appointment. Dr Skefich also did a very thorough verbal "intake interview" during my first appointment. She then asked me what was going on "right now." I found she had a really good scope of my condition as she had studied and prepared from my case history and applied that to what we had just talked about. I came to her specifically because I had a great deal of pain and could not bare any hard manipulation. I knew I wanted Cranio/Sacral technique and told her so. Cranio/Sacral is a very specific technique that will allow manipulation from head to toe, i.e. muscles, soft tissue, as joints gently find themselves relaxing and slipping into place. That's what I wanted and am elated with the pain relief I have received from Dr. Skefich. She mentioned that in the future, when my pain had subsided, I might like to explore the possibility of evolved and traditional manipulation and have done so successfully. My husband, an x rodeo rider (bulls), also goes to Dr. Skefich, and he prefers the more aggressive popping type of technique that "Joe " expected. My husband recommends Dr. Skefich to anyone he hears needs a chiropractor! I hope Joe reads this and returns to actually be candid with Dr. Skefich and get the relief so many others have with this amazing Doctor.

I went in expecting a lot of popping of joints and pulling of muscles. While there was a bit of this, known as adjustments, the vast majority of the session was "cranio-sacral" massage. Apparently the goal is to loosen a membrane surrounding my nervous system by lightly holding onto muscles in the vicinity. This type of massage was very, very light, was not what I was hoping for. In her defense I did not share my expectations with her, nor did I let her know what I wanted. I told her about the problems I was having and let her go at it. Unfortunately it was a much lighter session than I was hoping for.‎
