As much as I dislike Simply Bits because they frankly give us a run for our money, I must correct a malicious posting I just read here.

First, Simply Bits is a LOCAL company. I know two of the three owners. All of them grew up in Tucson and two went to the U of A. They have deep roots here. To say they are not an Arizona company is absolutely false.

It is federal law that phone numbers belong to the customer. Simply Bits (like every other phone company) must release phone numbers to a customer wishing to leave their service.

It is obvious somebody wanted to cast doubt on Simply Bits by posting something that clearly is untrue and easy to shoot down.

I hate when people are allowed to just post anything they want without having to so much prove they are in the know about anything.

Why do I defend a competitor? Because it has happened to my company and it was 100 times worse than this example.

It is just plain wrong.

Keep in mind this company is not a CLEC (they aren't licensed in Arizona), so make sure you get a signed document that guarantees that you can get your existing phone numbers back if you decide to switch away from them. Porting numbers onto their network is a risk because they do not have to port them back if you leave. Very important to get something in writing to protect your existing local numbers. Aside from that one big risk, I've heard the technology works well and that they have good support.‎

We use simply bits services and can't be happier. Very professional and impressed by their team. Highly recommend.‎
