Five of us stayed here while participating in the 2009 Death Ride. It was wonderful! The staff was very friendly and check-in was quick. The rooms were immaculate as were the bathrooms. It was great to have the mini fridge, coffee maker and micro-wave. Television was modern and it was nice to have an outdoor chair to sit outside your room. Completely quiet at night. I've stayed at the Ritz C. and I'll take the Sierra Motel over it any time! Thanks for a wonderful stay :)

Nothing fancy, but reasonably clean rooms with very friendly service at a very affordable price (~$5x.00/night for two queens/doubles during MLK weekend). Only 20-minute drive to Heavenly's Nevada side lodges. Given that Nevada side lodges provide much easier access from car to lift and back (no long walk/climbing through parking lot like California lodge or lugging all the equipments to/from Gondola at the Heavenly Village), staying at this motel turned out to be much easier for me and my family than even staying in Timberlodge. Strong recommendation for people looking for a simple lodging option at a good price. The downsides are: there's not many stores or restaurants around the motel, so dining out choices are limited (unless, I suppose, if you drive to Carson City).‎

This is the worst motel I have ever stayed in. It looks OK from the outside. My room had burned out light bulbs, broken toilet, lousy shower...the list goes on. It is a good thing the rooms are dark inside - it makes it harder to see how dirty it really is.‎

this motel is crap its for bums and hookers. staff are tweekers, asked me if i had any dope. definatly go somewhere else‎

I have been staying there for many years, only once a year, but it's motorcycle friendly and the rooms are clean and moderate priced.
Great place with great owners.
