Okay, don't reccomend taking kids...
I've been to this alley a few times. Never really had a bad experience until I went with neighbors and we all had kids (4 total) on a Saturday afternoon. There was really no one in the alley and the older gentleman acted like we were bothering him that we were there. He just stood there, didn't offer anything didn't say anything when we went to the counter. We asked for 2 lanes and shoes and he shot back with a smart answer "Yes, you HAVE to have shoes and didn't speak again." He wasn't nice to the kids, didn't want to put up the bumpers, and he ruined the experience for all of us. We wanted to go have fun, have some lunch etc. We would of left immediately had it not been for the kids. The only time he even remotely acted nice is when we asked him point blank "Are we bothering you being here." At that time he half way apologized, but remained unfriendly. We would of complained to the owner, but figured the crotchety old man was the owner, ...
