We had a blast at KOBE last weekend. Food was great! It was just a fun, different place to eat. You do come out smelling like the food though, and maybe with shrimp down your shirt!

The food and service once you are seated was excellent. I was very disappointed that they didn't go by reservations. When I inquired why others where seated before me he said they had a reservation. I told him we had a reservation and pointed to it on the book, and it was two names before the people he seated. All he could say was he was sorry.

If you are looking for a fun night and don't mind the chatter of surrounding people, I recommend you try this experience at least once and a while. This was my first time at Kobe Steak House of Japan and I was looking forward to it. Here's my experience:

I met our singles group from Christian Faith Center Church, 2003 Chambers Rd, St Louis, MO 63136, 314-867-6132, for Valentine's Day. There was 13 in our group. The tables we were at where only large enough for 7 people at a time. We were in a nice size room were the 7 people tables faced each other so we were still able to interact with everyone in the group because we ended up in a circle.

We were served at 2 tables so we had 2 waiters/waitress, the only problem incountered was our 1st waitress was slow & the 2nd waiter was a little rude. Management sent a replacement for the 2nd and the night went well after that. The wait for our tables was longer than expected but we did go on Valentine's Day.

The food was great. I ordered their vegetable dish and steamed rice. The food is cooked in front of you and added to your plate as you eat. I had so much food I ended up taken quite a bit home. The chef was interactive and funny. I liked watching them toss a piece of meat for you to catch. It was hilarious because some missed and some didn't. For the price is was well worth it and better than I expected.

After this experience, I am going to go back and take my family with me for special occasions, like my birthday coming up in March, 08.

I was having a going away party becuase I was leaving for the military and I had heard it was a good place to eat. The food was amazing. It was well woth the money to go. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND the food. The food was made to order right in fornt of you. You told them when your meat was done. The service was amazing.

WE HAD A PARTY OF EIGHT TO CELEBRATE MY HUSBAND'S 50TH BIRTHDAY. I CALLED AHEAD AND MADE ARRANGEMENTS FOR THE BIRTHDAY BANZAI FOR AN EXTRA $4.95. FOR THE BANZAI THEY SANG A SONG, HE BLEW OUT A CANDLE , TOOK A POLARID, AND BROUGHT OUT A PIECE OF PINEAPPLE. FOR THIS THEY MADE A BIG DEAL OUT OF MAKING PRIOR ARRANGEMENTS. LONG STORY SHORT, DON'T WASTE THE FIVE BUCKS, BUY THE BIRTHDAY PERSON A DRINK INSTEAD. THAT SAID, I MUST TELL YOU THE FOOD WAS SOME OF BEST I'VE EVER EATEN AND THE SHOW WAS GREAT. OUR PARTY CONSISTED OF TWO CHILDREN(10 AND 11), A HIGH SCHOOL FRESHMAN, AND FIVE ADULTS, ALL OF US ENJOYED THE DINNER. THE COST IS WELL WORTH IT. OUR BILL FOR THE EIGHT DINNERS AND DRINKS WAS UNDER TWO HUNDRED DOLLARS. WE WILL GO BACK AT THE NEXT BIG CELEBRATION.
