Like the comments in Jim's post I was trying to find a barber shop I really liked and was having no luck. The one in downtown San Carlos just did not give me good vibes or haircut. Then I discovered Rick. How I had missed his shop all these years is beyond me. Great guy and he remembers his customers. Rick is like going to a barber when I was a kid, great haircut and fun guy to talk with. Five stars from me.‎

When my barber of 20 years retired I was adrift for a year. I got hair cuts from all over the place. I went to the cheap places - like that one with sails inside - and got my hair hacked at. I went to a place by Lunardi's that cut my hair with a flo-bee kind of thing. I went old school in downtown San Carlos and had a couple of crazy cuts from a couple of different guys. I went to a salon in Los Gatos and paid $40 for a haircut. Then I found Rick at Shear Shack. Like my previous barber, Rick cuts hair perfectly. No muss, no fuss, just exactly the way I want it. I've been going to rick for three years now and I have *never* had a bad cut. I've also sent friends to Rick and they tell me what a great haircut they've received.‎
