This place is huge! They have tons of new and used CDs, movies, and games. Granted people come and buy and sell stuff all the time it's a hit or a miss if you are looking for something specific, but the selection is still huge so you are bound to find something good.

I do like Second Spin for the cheap factor. Often I can find new release CDs for around $9. Their employees are often the too-cool-for-you types, but I can look past that. It is a record store after all. They don't give you very good prices if you try to do trade-in's on your old CDs and DVDs. Occasionally I find the rare gem there and that makes it all worth it.

When this place opened up down the street from Tower and Virgin, I thought that was business suicide. Now I never go to the other two. This place has everything they have and more, and at better prices with clerks that don't act like they ARE Rivers Cuomo.

I like this store better than any Wherehouse store in the county. Eclectic inventory, fantastic pricing, and knowledgeable clerks make this place an absolute must for music lovers.

Small record store with good prices on used music and movies. Not quite as far as some in LA, but good if you're in the area. I can usually find some good ones for $5-9. I'm not really big on their new/used DVD selection as it can be rather pricey. I usually just stick to their used selection.

PROS: Near the beach, lots of local bands, new arrivals bin, box sets
CONS: pricey on the dvds, new music prices blow, no ska
