I brought two pair of ice hockey skates in to Schroeder's for lace eyelet repair. One pair needed a simple eyelet replacement which he found and pounded into place within minutes. The other pair had severe leather tears around the top two eyelets which at first he didn't think he could fix. But after a little examination he said it could be sowed up with heavy duty thread and keep the original eyelets. Boom. Done within minutes, charged $10 for everything.
Listen women, don't bring your foo foo pumps or whatever in to Schoeder's. The man is a boot, shoe, skate cobbler. His shop is rugged and raw like any good work shop should be.

Just what you would expect to see at a cobblers shop that has been in business forever!! I loved it!! I took some motorcycle boots in due to the heel being worn too much on one side. When I got them back the workmanship looked GREAT and my boots were SO MUCH more comfortable. I turned the boots in Friday evening at 4pm and got them back on Monday at 4pm. Easy parking, easy access. I highly recommend this cobbler!

I had the heels redone on a pair of old Italian shoes - they were ready in 24 hours, for $13. Some years ago when I lived in Italy, I took the same shoes for the same job to an actual Italian cobbler. The Schroeder's cobbler did a much better job.

Business the way it used to be... good work at a reasonable price. These folks deserve our support... and it's just an enjoyable experience.
