spent a week at SPI in August 2007 and this was the centerpiece of the vacation for our 11 and 5 year old children. Of the 7 days we were there, we were at Schlitterbahn at 10 a.m. waiting for them to drop the rope on five of those days. By 11:30 the place was very crowded, and by that time we were heading to the poolside bar for drinks. Most days we were back at our room by 12:30 or 1:00. Admittedly buying the season pass was an expensive way to experience Schitterbahn. If this was just a one-day visit where we endured the crowds for a whole day, then I would have dropped my rating to 2.5 or 3 stars.

The rides and crowds were tame enough to let our 11 year old venture out on his own. It was also great for my 5 year old (she turned 6 later in August). She thinks she can swim, but with a water depth of 2 - 3.5 feet in most places she never really had to prove it. She still needed to ride in a double-tube with one of the parents for the various water coasters. This was a good vacation.

My friends and I loved Schlitterbahn it was soooo much fun. I love all the rides and the service was great! Food was awsome. AND i really liked the one ride that continuously circled the park. I am for sure going to go again. And next time im going to stay longer!!!! :)

My family and I loved this water park. There was so much to get on and we really enjoyed the fact that we could take in our own food so we save on that. We will definitely go again.
