I had always seen cute little write-ups for them, but never actually made the trip in. Although I expected a variety of fabulous designers, somehow, I was pleasantly surprised. Not only did they have high-end lines like Balenciaga, Alaia, and McQueen...but they also carried lines like Lyell, Some Odd Rubies, Alexander Wang (my favorite!)...the list goes on.....

The atmosphere was adorable...I felt like I was back in high school (in a good way) at my girlfriends house raiding her closet. "Heather's" was playing on the vintage television, the cure was playing, there were mimosas for us to enjoy...LITERALLY my dream shop! All of the girls were more than helpful...and knowledgeable. They managed to style outfits together that I never would have pieced together on my own. I couldn't have been more satisfied. I even get styled e-mails of all the new arrivals they get in every day...always a nice little break to the day when I receive it on my blackberry in the middle of a business meeting!

I definitely recommend stopping in if you're in the area. You may drive by a few times before actually finding it...the sign is very VERY small! Sometimes they have valet parking in the back...there's generally not a sign out...just drive down the alley in the back and hope you'll see them!

With the latest trends and style this boutique has it all. From their very interesting bohemian styles to a more tailored look this place has a great selection of clothing for anyone. Everyone is really friendly there as well.

I'm so surprised by previous reviews--I have always received wonderful service at Satine, and I don't even spend that much (I'm more of a wannabe, who stops in whenever possible to gaze at the gorgeous Lanvin shoes, Stella McCartney bags and dresses, Mayle, Isabel Marant...they also have tons of Tsumori Chisato, which I can never find anywhere). The environment and salespeople are chic but not intimidating, and I love the artsy setup of the store. Last time I was there Mandy Moore was picking up a few belts and no one blinked an eye. Love it!
Even if I can usually only afford a pair of Cheap Monday jeans or 2 (they have them on the website--I had to ask--it's www.satineboutique), shopping there is always a treat for me (plus Toast is right down the block if you need some great coffee afterwards!).

one of my favorite boutiques even though it's so expensive. only bad thing about it is the salespeople range from indifferent to downright rude. but they do know how to choose clothes.

I have been in Satine a couple of times now. Both times, I was underwhelmed. It is true, they do have some great merchandise but the staff was supremely unhelpful. Not rude, just completely unattentive. My girlfriend and I were not greeted as we walked in and were never really noticed thereafter. I was perusing the store with items over my arm that I obviously wanted to try on and the sales girls did not even bat an eye my way. So...I saw myself to a dressing room. Of course, I was not checked on and my friend had to hail down a sales woman to get me a correct size. Then I decided to buy a shirt I had seen on a mannequin in the store. I didn't see anymore on the racks and I could not get anyone to pay attention to me so I had to take the top off the mannequin myself to purchase it. As if that wasn't enough, I had to holler out, "I would like to buy these pieces!" I spent over $550! Too bad I am a slave to fashion, because I wouldn't have given them a dime otherwise.
